About Phoebe
Sussex-based designer, Phoebe Sherwood is known for the way she playfully interprets natural form using a combination of sustainable materials such as wood, recycled silver and recycled gold.
Phoebe has been creating jewellery for over a decade, bringing together a love of nature, traditional craftsmanship, and meaningful design. Born in Lewes, Sussex, and spending holidays on her grandparents’ farm in Scotland, she developed her love connection of nature from a young age.
After studying Art & Design at Brighton City College, Phoebe honed her skills alongside an experienced goldsmith in Lewes, learning heritage techniques that still underpin her work. In 2011, she launched Phoebe Jewellery, a small independent brand built on sustainability, storytelling, and timeless design.
Her collections are often inspired by recurring natural themes which are symbols of strength, growth, and connection. Each piece is handcrafted in her Lewes studio using recycled precious metals and responsibly sourced materials, made with care for both craft and the environment. She often holds open studio days and also welcomes visitors by appointment, offering a chance to see where the jewellery is made and meet Phoebe and her dog, Pippi.
Phoebe’s jewellery is designed to be more than adornment: it’s created to hold meaning, memory, and personal stories. Through her work, she has also donated thousands to wildlife and conservation charities, weaving her passion for nature into every part of her business.
